Mrs. A. J. Hennlich will be hostess to the Helping Hand Society Friday, Feb. 22.

Glen Olson of the Taylor county normal school at Medford was the guest speaker at the Curtiss School P.T.A. on Friday evening. He spoke on "Child Phsysicology" and showed slides. A paper on Founders Day was read by Mrs. Henry Peterson. Mrs. Art Laabs dressed in impersonation of Aunt Jemina and sang "Carry Me Back to Ole Virginia," and, in a southern dialect, asked all to attend the pancake supper the following evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph entertained a party of children at a sleigh ride Saturday afternoon after which the guests were served a hearty lunch at their home.

The Curtiss Homemakers will meet Tuesday evening, Feb. 26th, at the home of Mrs. Anna Tonn with Mrs. Henry Peterson as co-hostess. The lesson on "Civil Defense" and "First Aid in Emergencies" will be presented by Mrs. O. K. Odland and Mrs. Henry Peterson.

George Hoff, who has been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, the past three weeks, returned home Sunday.

Mrs. Frank Matthias left Wednesday evening for Washington, D.C., where she will visit her sons there and in Norfolk, Va., for several weeks.

Mrs. Howard Stoltenberg and sons of Nelsonville are spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff.

Clarence Stockmeyer and daughter, Nancy, of La Crosse spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer. His wife, who had spent the past week here, returned home with him.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Vegehlen of La Crosse were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson.

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick drove to Columbus Thursday to spend the week-end with their son, Grant Herrick, Jr., and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Les Bowen and children were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Peissig at Chippewa Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich spent the week-end with their daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elert and Mr. and Mrs. Orlyn Wanke.

Mrs. Ole Gilbertson and son, Roger, of Taylor Wis., spent the week-end with relatives here.
