Virch, Niron (20 Feb. 1888 - 8 Apr. 1928)

NIRON VIRCH IS LAID TO REST

Nyron (Niron) Virch was born February 20, 1888, at Curtiss, Wis., and passed away at the hospital in Marinette, Wis., April 8, 1928, at the age of 40 years, 1 month and 19 days.

Mr. Virch spent his boyhood days in Curtiss, and on Nov. 26, 1913, was united in marriage to Miss Amanda Schultz of Dorchester, Wis. To this union were born three sons, Clifford, aged 13, Kenneth, aged nine, and Nyron (Niron), Jr., aged 7.

Shortly after their marriage they moved to St. Paul, where they resided about three years, Mr. Virch being in the employ of the Minnesota Transfer Co., from here they moved to Spaulding, Mich., where Mr. Virch operated a cheese factory. Later they moved to Harmony Corners, Peshtigo, Wis., where they operated the Harmony telephone exchange and conducted a blacksmith and repair shop.

Mr. Virch’s health became so poorly that on April 4th, he was taken to the hospital at Marinette, Wis., and on April 8th passed away very suddenly, which news came as a great shock to his many friends in this community.

Mr. Virch’s parents preceded him in death about five years ago and one sister died about six years ago. He is survived by his wife and three sons, also four sisters, Mrs. Wm. Blair of Powers, Mich., Mrs. Thomas Bearman of Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. Dave Norleen of Green Bay, Wis., and Mrs. Harry Horn of Sheboygan, Wis.

Here he spent his boyhood, grew to manhood, married and established a home of his own, rendering a faithful service to the world. In the dearest of all places to him he lies down at length to sleep and rest. To him the struggles and burden bearing of earth are ended. His home instincts were strong, his affection for friends and kindred was tender and strong. He is still the father of the dear children and the companion still of she who mourns earth’s greatest loss.

The remains were brought to Curtiss Tuesday evening, April 10th, and the funeral was held Thursday afternoon, April 12, 1928, at the Congregational church at 2 o’clock, and what was left of his earthly form was laid to rest in the Pine Hill cemetery at Curtiss, Rev. Powell of Owen, officiating. The pall bearers were: Arthur Tonn, Otto Olson, Wm. Jakel, Melvin Ostenson, Jacob Johnson and Albert Johnson.

The floral offerings were many and very beautiful, showing in a way the respect and esteem in which Mr. Virch was held by his many friends in this his home community.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Wm. Blair of Powers, Mich., Bertha Schultz of Milwaukee, Frank Schultz of Bayfield, Hattie Schultz of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. John Meschelfske of Stetsonville, Gust Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Shultz, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schultz and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schultz and children of Dorchester, and Miss Martha Schultz of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.

The Advance joins with the many friends of the deceased in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives. –Advance.
