Maureen R. Wilcott

Maureen R. Wilcott, 70, of 1013 W. Kalsched St., died after an eight-month battle with cancer, on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at her home with her family at her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. James Logan officiating. Suzanne Golden will be the organist along with Michael Gonering as the vocalist.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Tom, Steve and Ken Heeg, Tom Schneider, Scott Wilcott and Kyle Matlick serving as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home and from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. There will be a Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Maureen was born on May 11, 1936, in Colby to Leonard and Dorothy (Miller) Arends. She attended St. John's School and graduated from Columbus High School in 1954. She and Richard L. Wilcott were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 1959, at St. John's Catholic Church.

Maureen worked at Figi's Mail Order Gifts in the Data Entry Dept. until her illness. She enjoyed planting and caring for her many flowerbeds, traveling with family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Maureen is survived by her husband Richard; four children, Michael (Sally) Wilcott of Palm Coast, Fla., Kay (Fred) Hancock of Waupaca, Sheri (Gary) Carlson of Marshfield and Lori (Rick) Bohman of Marshfield; four grandchildren, Savannah and Rhett Wilcott and Hallie and Karsten Hancock.

She is further survived by one sister, Jan Schneider of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Ray Schneider; and a niece, Kelly Schneider.
