Boon, Melissa (Marriage - October 1, 2005)

Melissa Boon and Matthew Strangfeld were married Saturday October 1, 2005, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Christie, with the Rev. Daniel Cole officiating the 3 p.m. ceremony. Music was provided by Natasha Cole, vocalist, and Judy Bobrosky, organist.

Parents of the couple are Allan and Beverly Boon, of Greenwood, and Jeff and Jeanne Strangfeld, of Neillsville.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white strapless A-line dress. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, mini roses and mini carnations in hues of red, along with fall leaves, and wheat.

Maid of honor was Lyndsey Boon, of Eau Claire. Matron of honor was Cindy Seif, of Granton. Bridesmaids were Jenni Kunze and Liz Strangfeld, both of Neillsville. Junior Bridesmaid was Samantha Jones, of South Lake, Texas. They were seen in black with red trim, strapless A-line dresses and carried bouquets of calla lilies and mini carnations.

Best man was David Lucero, of Wolcott, CO. Groomsmen were Lee Strangfeld, of Neillsville; Jeremy Boon, of Greenwood; and Dave Eisentraut, of Madison. Junior Groomsman was Jared Boon, of Neillsville. Ushers were Steve Johnson and Jeff Struensee, both of Neillsville.

A reception and dance followed at Fannie’s Supper Club in Neillsville.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield and is employed by Boon Farms. The groom is a graduate of Neillsville High School and attended Mid-State Technical College. He is employed by Northern Environmental, Marshfield.

The couple took a honeymoon get-away to Minnesota. They live in Christie.
