Mrs. Richard Pohl will be hostess to the Ladies’ Aid of St. Paul’s Lutheran church on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke and daughters, Yvonne and Susan, spent the fore part of the week at Minneapolis, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nissen of Glidden drove down on Sunday to get the latter’s mother, Mrs. Frank Tonn, who has been visiting her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Tonn.

Miss Margaret Milbrand, principal of the local school, left on Wednesday for Milwaukee to attend the state teachers’ convention.

Jack McCorrison attended the funeral of a friend at Ladysmith the latter part of the week.

Mrs. Fred Machlett left on Friday for Toledo, Ohio, to visit her niece, Mrs. Art Rice, and family. From there she will go to Cleveland, Ohio, to spend a couple of weeks with her sister, Mrs. Sena Mate, then she will go to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to spend the winter with her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Machlett.

Phyllis Zimball and Floyd Bowen were honored at a miscellaneous shower at the village hall on Friday evening, October 29th.

Henry Voightlander, a student at the University of Wisconsin, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Voightlander, Sr.

Miss Frances Kuchenreiter, home Ec. teacher at the U. of Wis., Dorothy Thompson, a student at the Central State Teachers College, and classmate, Miss Pat Lappley, spent the week-end with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson.

Rev. G. E. Borreson, vice president, and Mrs. Arthur Laabs, treasurer, of the 7th District Conference of Parents and Teachers attended a board meeting of that body on Friday at Stevens Point.

Mrs. Frank Matthias was called to Eau Claire on Monday by the death of their friend, Mrs. W. G. Law.

Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff visited with their daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stoltenberg on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Paul of Horicon called at the home of the latter’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff on Monday.

Mrs. A. J. Hennlich will be hostess to the Helping Hand Society on Thursday, Nov. 11th.
