Risch, Wilhelmine (Aug. 1864 - 8 Nov. 1947)

Wilhelmine (nee Tessmer) Risch, a former citizen of Colby, Wisconsin, died at the home of her daughter, Alma Kolander, in Milwaukee, with whom she made her home, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 1947, at 4:45 a.m., at the age of 83 years and three months, old age complications being the cause of her death. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church in Milwaukee Tuesday, Nov. 11, and internment was made in the Union Cemetery at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The deceased was born in Germany and came to the United States with her parents when one year of age and moved onto a farm at Colby, Wisconsin. She was married to William Risch in Milwaukee, who preceded her in death 47 years ago. Five children were born to the union, two of whom died in infancy.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Herman DeBuhr of Milwaukee, Mrs. Alma Kolander of Milwaukee and Arthur Risch of New Berlin, Wis., one sister, Mrs. Lena Detjins of Phillips, Wis., two brothers, Chas. P. Tessmer and Herman Tessmer of Colby, eight grand children and nine great grand children.
