Becker, Paul William (20 Nov. 1892 - 16 Feb. 1947)
Funeral services for Paul William Becker, age 54, who died of a heart attack at 10:10 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, were conducted at the Lulloff Funeral Home Thursday afternoon, Rev. M. C. Goetsch, officiating, and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery.
Mr. Becker, son of Fred Becker and the late Mrs. Minna Becker, was born Nov. 20, 1892, in Milwaukee, was graduated from Greenwood High School and attended Lawrence College, Appleton.
He was employed as an accountant by the Hamilton Manufacturing Company in Two Rivers and later taught school at Minot, N. Dak. In December, 1920, he was married to Jen Swartz and to this union were born two sons.
After working for the Platteville Dairy Company in Platteville for 13 years he moved to Jenkinsville to operate a cheese factory. The family then moved to Union, where he operated the Union factory. Before moving to Abbotsford he was employed at the Block House factory, near Platteville.
After farming near Abbotsford the family moved to Vesper. For 15 years he was foreman for the White House Milk Company at Vesper.
Surviving are his father of Atwood; two sons, Gene of Platteville and Douglas with the Marine Corps at New Bern, N.C.; a brother, Otto, of Atwood; and two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Thompson of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Elsie Schuh of Colby, Wisconsin.
