Miller, Mr./Mrs. Joachin (50th Anniv. - 30 Apr. 1947)

Mr. and Mrs. Joachin Miller of Colby were congratulated by a large number of friends and relatives on their fiftieth wedding anniversary last week Wednesday during an "open house" held throughout the afternoon and evening. Among those present were the couple’s three children, Mrs. Halver Becken and Wilbert Miller of the town of Green Grove, Raymond Miller of the town of Colby, 12 grand children and one great grand child.

Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hays, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Borchert, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Prochnow and Mr. and Mrs. John Bandow of Neenah, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sommer of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller of Green Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weinfurtner of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Kaufman of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.

Mr. Miller was born in Germany and came with his parents to the town of Green Grove, where they settled on a farm in 1884. He was married to Miss Bertha Bandow at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Green Grove April 30, 1897. They lived on a farm in that township until about 15 years ago, when they retired and moved to Colby, Wisconsin.
