Goelden, Elvira Ann (Marriage - 7 June 1947)

Miss Elvira Goelden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lenhard, and Robert Kilty, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kilty, were united in marriage Saturday, June 7, at 2:00 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran church, Unity, Wis., Rev. Alfred Olson reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Joyce Paul of Abbotsford and Leon Reckner of Stratford.

The bride was attired in a gray beige suit with blue hat and gloves and white blouse and shoes. Her bouquet consisted of red tea roses and lilies of the valley tied with blue ribbon. For going away, the bride wore a black and white checked skirt with hat and red jacket. Miss Paul wore a blue suit with pink hat and gloves and white blouse and shoes. Her bouquet consisted of tea roses and lilies of the valley with a pink ribbon. The bride’s mother wore a gray two-piece dress with white accessories and a corsage of salmon pink roses. The groom’s mother wore a grey flowered jersey with navy accessories and a corsage similar to that of the bride’s mother.

A reception was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lenhard, and, in the evening, a wedding dance was given at Trianon ballroom. The Lenhard home was decorated in white, pink and blue, with a white bell.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin and will be at home after June 15 on the farm of the groom’s parents, where he is employed.

Friends and relatives from Detroit, Mich., Owen, Marshfield, Unity, Edgar and Abbotsford attended the wedding.
