Collier, Harry C. Mrs. (1891? - June 1946)

Mr. Harry C. Collier, age 65, and Mrs. Harry Collier, age 55, whose death was reported last week, died in an automobile accident according to additional information received here. They were driving from their home at Truckee, Calif., to Reno, Nevada, to visit their daughter, Kathleen, when a tire of their car blew out and plunged the car over an 150-foot embankment, both receiving injuries from which they both died the next day, about four hours apart.

The accident was witnessed by the driver of a large truck which was following the Collier car, although he stopped to assist them, neither Mr. or Mrs. Collier could be moved from the wreckage until the Sparks ambulance arrived in which they were taken to the Washoe general hospital.

Investigation of the accident was conducted by the California state highway patrol, notified by the sheriff’s office.

Those of the immediate family attending the funeral were their two surviving sons, John, of Truckee; Charles and wife at San Fransisco and their two daughters, Mrs. Judd Foster and husband of Crescent City, Oregon, and Mrs. John Pettiti and husband of Reno, Nevada. Also attending were Mr. Collier’s brothers, C. H. Collier and wife of Reno, Nevada, Rollo C. Collier and wife and their daughter, Mrs. W. F. Leonhard and husband, all of Santa Cruz, Calif., and his sister, Mrs. R. B. Johnson of San Jose, Calif., and a grandson, Larry Collier of Watsonville, Calif.
