CHILI -- Joyce E. Dankemyer, 78, of Chili answered the call of God our Almighty Father, as He summoned his angel home to His waiting arms on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007.
Her pain is gone as she now sits in the warmth and peace inside the gates of heaven.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home and again from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Joyce was born Oct. 7, 1929, in the town of Unity, Clark County, to Emil and Ann (Bodendorfer) Gauger. On July 8, 1950, Joyce married Kenneth Dankemyer, the love of her life.
Joyce likely has a guitar in her hand and is singing or yodeling with the angels in heaven.
She was a long-time member of the Y Knots Country Western Band. Joyce was called the "Yodel Queen" when she used to sing on WDLB radio station. She loved to entertain, sing and dance.
Joyce had many hobbies that included making cakes, collecting dolls, sewing, gardening, dancing, doing crafts, giving haircuts, reading to her grandchildren and pulling on all the sons-in-law's ears.
Her journey on this earth is complete and we are blessed to have had Joyce touch our lives with her endless love and compassion. She will be truly missed, but not forgotten.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Kenneth; four beautiful daughters, Deborah (Jim) Weyer, Cynthia (Lee) Hokenson, Joan (John) Martin and Brenda (Wade) Pettit all of whom still reside in the Chili area; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with another on the way.
She is further survived by a sister Arla Rohatsch of Bothell, Wash.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Gauger; sister, Betty Geldernick; and a grandson, Jesse Martin.
