Curtiss, Wis. - Aug. 8, 1946

Mrs. J. E. Simpson of Sturgeon Bay and son, John Simpson, of Baltimore, Md., visited at the home of the former’s sister and brother in law the fore part of the week.

Orlyn Peterson of Chicago arrived here on Saturday to spend a two week’s vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peterson.

Harry Botterud of Boston, Mass., visited his sisters, Mrs. Helga Knight and Mrs. A. E. Stadler and other relatives this week. This was his first visit here in 31 years. He was raised in the town of Hoard.

Miss Clara Thompson will be hostess to the Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. Lutheran church on Thurs., Aug. 15.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson and son, John, left on Tuesday for Westby where they will spend a week’s vacation with relatives.

Mrs. W. G. Law of Minneapolis is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matthias.

Fred Dahlberg of Bruce and brother, Edwin Dahlberg, and daughter of Ladysmith, called on friends in this vicinity on Sunday. The Dahlberg parents were pioneers in Hoard.

Miss Anne B. Hanson returned home from Portland, Oregon, where she had spent the past month with her sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bailey.

Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Bartell and children of Milwaukee returned home on Monday after spending their vacation with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer.
