Kronberger, Agnes (18 DEC 1940)

At two o’clock Wednesday, December 18, 1940, a very pretty wedding was solemnized when Miss Agnes Kronberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kronberger of the town of York became the bride of Westly Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Brown of the town of Eaton. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. C. Langholz at the Trinity Lutheral Church at Loyal.

Two beautiful songs were sung by Mrs. Romaine Rossow who was accompanied by Mrs. Geo. Jensen of Loyal.

The bride wore a white satin floor length gown, beautifully trimmed with lace and full length sleeves. A finger tip veil was held in place with white roses. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and white baby chrysanthemums,

Miss Virginia Brown, sister of the groom, attended as maid of honor in a gown of royal blue brocaded silk taffeta of floor length. She wore white flowers in her hair and her bouquet was similar to that of the bride’s bouquet.

The bridesmaid, Miss Helen Brown, sister of the groom, wore a floor length rose color brocaded silk taffeta dress, also wearing white flowers in her hair and carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s bouquet.

Romaine Seidelmann, cousin of the bride attended as best man and Lavern Kronberger, also a cousin of the bride, attended as groomsman. The groom and his attendants wore dark suits with white accessories and had boutonnieres of white carnations.

A six o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Baskets of cut flowers were used to decorate the home. A three tiered wedding cake with white icing and pink roses, topped by a miniature bride and groom, was used as the centerpiece of the dining table. The cake was baked by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Wm. Seidelmann.

In the evening a large wedding dance and shower was held at the Silver Dome and the bridal couple received many nice gifts.

The couple will make their home near Christie at the Chadwick farm where the groom is employed.
