Atcherson, Mariea (Marriage - 1 June 1946)
Miss Mariea Atcherson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Atcherson of Unity, and Raymond Hein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hein of Stratford, exchanged marriage vows at St. Mary’s Cathlolic church at Colby at a nuptial mass Saturday morning read by Rev. N. B. Beschta. The altar was decorated with bridal wreath and lilacs.
The bride’s gown was of brocaded satin and net. The net which formed the full skirt also formed an off the shoulder yoke effect on the satin bodice. A headdress of pearlized orange blossoms held her long veil of net illusion, edged with a deep flounce of lace, and she carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and pink bridal roses. Her jewelry consisted of a gold cross set with pearls, a gift from the bridegroom.
Miss Elenore Hein of Milwaukee, who attended as maid of honor, and the bridesmaids, the Misses Marie and Betty Ann Hein, are sisters of the bridegroom. They were attired in frocks of white, pink and blue with matching headdresses, wore pearl chokers, which were gifts from the bride, and carried arm bouquets of roses.
Lawrence Hoffman of Stratford, uncle of the bridegroom, served as best man, and groomsmen included Wilfred Atcherson, brother of the bride, and Phillip Hein of Stratford.
A wedding dinner and reception, attended by 100 guests, including relatives and friends from Wausau, Hatley, Milwaukee, Superior, Cud *** Note: The rest of the article was cut off and not available at the time of transcription.
