Suchorski, Frances (Marriage - 12 Jan. 1946)

A bridal gown of brocaded satin, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, shirred bodice, full skirt and long train was chosen by Miss Frances Suchorski of West Allis when she repeated her nuptial vows Jan. 12 with Wilgert Rasmussen, 1033 S. 73rd St., of West Allis. Her long, lace appliqué veil was caught by a headpiece of ostrich plumes.

The Rev. Julius Makowski read the morning service at St. Joseph’s church. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Suchorski, was given in marriage by her father. Her bouquet was composed of white carnations, snapdragons and baby chrysanthemums.

As the bride walked down the aisle she was preceded by her sister, Miss Anne Suchorski, and Miss Eleanor Olewinski, the bridesmaids, and the bridegroom’s niece, Miss Darlyene Eder, who was maid of honor. Their gowns were of aqua taffeta styled with sweetheart necklines, fitted bodices and full skirts. Each carried a bouquet of pink roses, white baby chrysanthemums and snapdragons tied with satin ribbon matching the plume headpieces. Their jewelry was pearls and matching earrings.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rasmusssen of Colby, asked his bride’s brother, Edward, to be best man. Franklin Rupnick, Jr., ushered.

The bride was formerly employed at the Milwaukee Stamping company. The bridegroom, who is now employed by the Price Construction company, is a veteran of 31 months service in the China-Burma-India theater.

Out of town guests at the wedding were the bridegroom’s parents of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Flick of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Remington of Marinette, Wis., Mrs. Anna Kamps of Marinette, Wis., Mrs. Gusty Wampka, of Pestigo, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Hans Rasmussen and daughter, Ruth, of Bear Creek, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Emil Echoepke, of Clintonville, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rasmussen, and daughter, Harriet, of Appleton, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Erickson of Racine, Wis.

The young couple are making their home at 2066 S. 71st St., West Allis, Wis.
