Mr. Raymond Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. J. Schmidt of the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Elizabeth Cebelinski of the town of Withee, were united in marriage at St. Hedwig’s Church, Rev. F.A. Kulig officiating.
The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stewart. The latter, who is a sister of the groom, wore a wine colored wool dress with black jacket and accessories to match. Her corsage was of Johanna Hill roses and gysophila.
The bride was attired in a wool costume suit of cadet blue, trimmed with red fox fur and black accessories. She wore a corsage of gardenias. The mothers of the bride and groom both wore corsages of lilies. The groom and his attendant wore blue and gardenia boutonniere.
A wedding breakfast and luncheon was served to members of the immediate families of the contracting parties at the home of the bride’s parents. After which the couple left for a short wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. They will make their home in Thorp, where the groom is employed at the Blue Moon Foods, Inc.
The bride is a graduate of Thorp High School with the class of ’33 and has recently been employed as clerk at Jalling’s Grocery.
On the morning of the wedding Rev. Joseph Cebelinski, a cousin of the bride, offered Mass for the bride and groom in his own church, The Holy Rosary Church, at Baltimore, Md.
