Beyer, Emma (19 Feb. 1873 - 16 Feb. 1945)

Mrs. Emma Beyer died of a heart attack at 6:00 o’clock Friday morning at the age of 72 years. She had been living alone in the second story flat of the former Henkel residence in Colby, Wis. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Rev. D. Grether officiating, and then the body was taken to Schiller Park, Ill., for burial.

The deceased was born in Weissenhoke, Germany, on Feb. 19, 1873, thus reaching the age of 71 years, 11 months and 16 days. She came to the United States in 1891, settling in Chicago. She and her husband operated a cheese factory east of Unity for many years. Mr. Beyer died 10 years ago and five years later Mrs. Beyer came to the city of Colby to make her home.

Surviving are one son, Paul M. Beyer of Cicero, Ill., one daughter, Mrs. Martha Weydert of Maple Park, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Gehrke of Chicago and Mrs. Hulda Heins of Boston, Mass.
