Copet, Leona (29 JUN 1940)

At a ceremony performed Saturday, June 29, Miss Leona Copet, Unity, Wis., and Royal Castner, Loyal, were married at a 3:30 o’clock nuptial service read by Rev. Orlando Jewell, pastor of the Methodist Church. The scene of the wedding was the Loyal Methodist Parsonage.

Miss Copet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Copet, Spencer, wore a dress in the ecru shade with a white hat and other white accessories. She carried a bouquet of garden flowers.

The couple’s only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Wolter. Mrs. Wolter is a sister of the groom. She was attired in a yellow dress and carried a bouquet of roses.

A 6 o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to 25 guests. Yellow, white, and lavender streamers decorated the dining room, and a large wedding cake centered the bridal table. A wedding dance was held in the evening at Ripplinger.

Out-of-town guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hoffman, Portage; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Castner, Wausau; Miss Hazel Castner, Stevens Point; and miss Grace Castner, Eau Claire.

The couple are at home to their friends on the farm of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Castner near Loyal.

The Tribune and other friends extend their best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Castner.
