Richard Cox

ABBOTSFORD -- Richard Cox, 79, of Abbotsford died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he was admitted Jan. 21.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at the United Pentecostal Church in Medford. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis., and Wednesday at the United Pentecostal Church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Richard Arthur Cox was born March 28, 1926, in Chicago, the son of Arthur and Hannah (Winkler) Cox. He served his country in the U.S. Army from Jan. 8, 1946, to April 26, 1947.

Richard and Nancy Rickaby were united in marriage Sept. 28, 1957, in Medford. He was a hard-working dairy farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Cox of Abbotsford; one son, Tom (Barb) Cox of Abbotsford; two daughters, Sharon Cox of Eau Claire and Ruth (Bill) Bauer of Rochester, Minn.; four grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Anderson of Spokane, Wash.
