Sclchenberger, Nila (Marriage - 10 June 1944)

Miss Nila Sclchenberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Schlchenberger of the town of Johnson and Clarence H. Venzke of the town of Holton, were united in marriage at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Milan Saturday, June 10th, at 1:30 P.M., Rev. E. E. Maleug officiating. The bride was attired in a white taffeta gown, floor length, full skirt and long train. Her lace trimmed veil was held in place by a beaded coronet and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses and carnations.

Her twin sister, Ila, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Beatrice Venzke and Hazel Sclchenberger who wore dresses of pale green, pale blue and rose taffeta respectively, full skirt with shoulder tip veils and headdresses to match. Each wore a corsage of mixed flowers. The groom was attended by Werner Schaefer as best man and Lawrence Sclchenberger and Benne Venke.

A reception and dinner was given at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance at the Trianon in the evening.

The couple will be at home on the groom’s farm north of Milan.
