Schilling, Mabel (Marriage - Apr. 1944)

Miss Mabel Schilling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schilling of the town of Hull, and Harvey Barts, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Barts, also of the town of Hull, were united in marriage in a ceremony performed in the rectory of St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby by Rev. L. J. Lang.

The bride was attired in a gold wool suit with black accessories and carried a bouquet of Sweetheart roses. Her sister, Margaret, who was her maid of honor, wore a pastel blue wool suit with navy accessories and Mrs. Harry Bungart, a sister of the groom who served as bridesmaid, wore a brown suit with matching accessories. Both had shoulder bouquets of spring flowers.

The groom was attended by his cousin, Arvin Podevels, and his brother in law, Harry Bungart.

Dinner and supper was served to thirty guests at the home of the bride’s parents, and in the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.

Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bungart and daughter, Mrs. Albert Raasch and son and Miss Margaret Schilling of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiedeman of Abbotsford, Wis.

The couple will reside on the groom’s farm in the town of Hull, Wis.
