Goutcher, Edward G. (Aug. 1861 - 5 May 1944)

Funeral services for Edward G. Goutcher, 82, town of Beaver, Clark county, Wisconsin, who died late Sunday at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield after suffering a broken hip early in December when he fell in his farm yard, will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church in Unity, Wis. The Rev. M. B. Ferguson will officiate and burial will be in the town of Beaver cemetery. The body will remain at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby until the hour of the funeral.

Mr. Goutcher was born in August, 1861, in Manitowoc county and was married May 5th, 1889, to Mary Roth at Two Creeks, Manitowoc county. The couple moved to a farm in the town of Beaver in 1900 and held their golden wedding jubilee in 1939. Mr. Goutcher has held several town offices.

Surviving are the widow; five children, Edward Goutcher of Idaho, Alvin Goutcher at home, Raymond Goutcher, town of Unity, Clark county, Maynard Goutcher, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Louise Scheel, town of Green Grove, Clark county; 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
