Halverson, Diane #2 (29 MAR 1940 - 21 NOV 2007)

Diane Halverson, 67, Abbotsford, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford, Wis. Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 26, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Paul C. Hunsicker presided. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Diane Halverson was born on March 29, 1940, in Colby, to Arthur and Fern (nee Kramer) Halverson. She was a graduate of Colby, Wis. High School. She married Woodrow Schmutzler Jr. and they later divorced. She was postmaster of Riplinger until 1967 and later was a mail carrier for the city of Marshfield. She was employed with People Exchange Bank, Thorp, as a loan secretary, and the Clark County OADA. She was a former of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, and currently a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, Wis. She was a 4-H leader and Rip Riders Snowmobile Club member. She resided in Abbotsford the past 20 years.

Survivors include her children, Lore (Vern) Ponshock, Nekoosa, Todd (Diane) Schmutzler, Riplinger, and Wendy Jo Rossman, Marshfield; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brothers and sisters, Arthur (Nancy) Halverson, Riplinger, Faye (Frank) Benvenito, Grafton, Jean (Wayne) Gaul, Park Falls, Rodney Halverson, Delaware, Scott Halverson, Delaware, Forest Halverson, Delaware, Charlene Halverson, Delaware, and Joyce (Ray) Kramer, Colorado.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
