Schuette, Anne (3 Sept. 1865 - 28 Sept. 1943)

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Schuette, whose death was reported last week, were held Sunday afternoon at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran church at South Green Grove, Rev. M. C. Goetsch officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Five sons and one grand son acted as pall bearers - Walter Schuette, Hugo Schuette, Henry Schuette, Arthur Schuette, Edwin Schuette and Maynard Schuette. Those in charge of the flowers were Audry Schuette, Darlene Schuette, Ethyl Schuette, Arlene Schuette, Beatrice Schuette, Evelyn Schuette, Lucille Schuette, Sylvia Schuette, Elpha Schuette, Blanch Schuette and Eva Jean Lang.

Mrs. Schuette, nee Anne Rahling, was 78 years old on September 3 and resident of Unity the past 33 years. She was born in Germany and came to the United States when she was three years old. She was married in March, 1889, to Henry Schuette at Manitowoc where they lived until 1910 when they moved onto their present farm. She became ill at Antigo where she went to visit her 82-year-old brother, William Rehling. She died at the Antigo Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening, September 28th, old age complications being the cause of her death.

Surviving besides her husband are five sons - Henry at home, Walter of Neenah, Hugo of Unity, Arthur of Colby, Wis., and Edwin of Manitowoc. Also a brother, William Rehling of Antigo, a stepsister, Mrs. Augusta Goetsch of Fond du Lac, 25 grand children and three great grand children. One grandson is in the navy and another in the army. Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.

Fehring, Mrs. Adelia Kiel, Mrs. Emma Neuman, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Klinker, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer, Mrs. Emil Franz, Arno Kiel, Oscar Kiel, Arthur Kiel, all of Manitowoc, Mrs. Augusta Goetsch, Mrs. Alma Klein, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Goetsch and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kottke, all of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schmitz of Malone, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Math Holtzman of Mt. Calvary, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahlke and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kickbusch of Boyd, Wis., Adolph Krie, of Stetsonville, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Dale Driscole and Mrs. Marie Schulz of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kuehl and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Krohn of Marshfield, Mrs. Aug. Fricke, Otto Wehymiller and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wehrman of Loyal and Mrs. Ida Pfeffer and family of Cato, Wis.
