Albrecht, Sharon (Stubbs) (10 Apr 1941 - 21 Nov 2007)

Sharon Albrecht, 66, Lake Holcombe, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at her residence.

She was born on April 10, 1941, in Tipton, Iowa to John and Fern (Thomma) Stubbs.

Sharon graduated from high school in West Branch, Iowa and moved to Dorchester in November of 1960. On Oct 16, 1965, she married Don Albrecht in Dorchester, Wis.

While living in Dorchester, she was employed a the Meyer Lumber Company and later, along with her husband, owned and operated Holton Cheese Factory. In 1974, they established Albrecht’s Cheese. Sharon and Don operated the store until retiring in 2000.

Sharon continued to work part time for the Rural Insurance Company in Holcombe. She was a member of the Holcombe United Methodist Church and the church choir.

She is survived by her husband, Don; her mother Fern Stubbs, Holcombe; two brothers, Jim (Mary) Stubbs, McCausland, IA, and Bob (Jean) Stubbs, West Branch, IA.

She was preceded in death by her father; and an infant son.

Funeral services were held Nov. 24 at the Holcombe United Methodist Church in Holcombe with Rev. Cheri Miskimen presiding. Burial was in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery in Dorchester, Wis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.

Borton Funeral Home in Cornell, assisted the family with arrangements.
