Milsom Hamm

ABBOTSFORD -- Milsom J. Hamm, 85, Abbotsford, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford, Wis.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, Wis. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, town of Holway, Taylor County.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church Wednesday.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Milsom was born May 18, 1920, in the town of Longwood to Hartwel and Edbelle (Popp) Jorstad. She lived in Abbotsford for the past 30 years.

Milsom is survived by her children, Violet (Lee) Smith, Marshfield, Alden "Butch" (Patricia) Hamm, Dorchester, Robert (Helen) Hamm, Spencer, and George (Beth) Hamm Jr., Owen; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Belongia, Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, five brothers and two grandchildren.

Milsom Hamm (18 May 1920 - 7 Jan 2006)

Milsom Hamm, 85, Abbotsford died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

She was born May 18, 1920, in the town of Longwood, to Hartwel and Edbelle (Popp) Jorstad. She graduated from Withee High School. She and George Hamm were married Aug. 28, 1937. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1976. They farmed in the town of Holway, and she worked in the kitchen at the Clark County Health Care Center for eight years. She lived in Abbotsford for the past 30 years. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Hamm is survived by her children, Violet (Lee) Smith, Marshfield, Alden (Patricia) Hamm, Dorchester, Robert (Helen) Hamm, Spencer, and George (Beth) Hamm, Jr., Owen; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Belongia, Green Bay.

Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, town of Holway. Msgr. John Malik presided. Pallbearers were Scott Schmidt, Mike Schmidt, Donald Kaletka, Nick Liazuk, Robert Hamm and Patrick Hamm.
