Fechhelm, Henry (29 Mar. 1882 - 26 Apr. 1943)

Henry Fechhelm, a resident of the town of Hull the past 20 years, died at his home Monday morning at about 7:30 o’clock at the age of 61 years, a heart ailment being the cause of his death. He had been in poor health the past three years and sustained a severe heart attack Sunday evening. A rosary service was held at the Lulloff Funeral Home, where the body had been lying in state, Wednesday evening. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic church this Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M. with Rev. L. J. Lang officiating. Internment will be made in Hillside cemetery at Marshfield.

The deceased was born in Dodge county on March 29th, 1882, and was married to Miss Mary Yonker at Marshfield on Feb. 17, 1909. He was engaged in carpenter work there until 1921 when the couple moved onto a farm in the town of Hull, Wis. For eight years he was employed as a Clark county road patrolman.

Surviving are his wife and three children - Joseph at home, Mrs. Philip (Helen) Schekelman of Loyal and Mrs. Clarence (Verna) Peterson of Chicago. Also a sister and four brothers - Mrs. John Kohn of North Fond du Lac, Alec of Nekoosa, Roman of Milwaukee, Norbert of Colby, Wis., and Frederick of Mayville.

Funeral services for Henry Fechhelm were held at the St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby last Thursday morning, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating, and burial was made in Hillside cemetery at Marshfield. Pall bearers were C. J. Kraus, Herbert Kanter, William Meyer, Ervin Primeau, Paul Mais and John Brill.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Kohn of North Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Alec Fechhelm of Nekoosa, Fred Fechhelm of Mayville, Roman Fechhelm and Mrs. Frank Gualardo of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Scheller, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fechhelm and Mrs. Matt Wright of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schekelman, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Shekelman, Mrs. George Shekelman and Mr. and Mrs.George Walters of Loyal, Mrs. Clarence Peterson of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. John Staab of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pfahning of Marshfield.
