Klueckmann, Bertha (16 Dec. 1863 - 8 April 1943)

Mrs. Albert Klueckmann, 79, town of Weston, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Kalsow, at 12 ? m. April 8.

Mrs. Klueckmann was born Dec. 16, 1863, to Mr. and Mrs. Johan Hagedorn, her given name being Bertha. She came to America 60 years ago, coming directly to Clark County.

On Jan. 17th, 1884, she was united in marriage to Albert Klueckmann. Six children were born to this union, four of whom died in infancy. The surviving children are: Mrs. Helen Scheel and Laura, Mrs. C. W. Kalsow, both of the town of Weston. She also is survived by her husband, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

The husband, who is 91 years of age, makes his home with the Kalsows.

Mrs. Klueckmann’s failing health had become evident last November. Her kindly nature and the patience, with which she bore every hardship in life, were manifested throughout the long period of suffering.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 11, from the Kalsow home and later from the Globe Lutheran Church, the Rev. Adolph Schumann officiating. Interment was made in the Globe Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Herman Gerhardt, and Wilmar Scheel, William Hoffmann, Roland Kalsow and Julius Hagedorn.
