Houston, Phrona (? - 12 March 1943)

W. J. Marsh received a letter this week from Harry Houston, Laguna Beach, Calif., in which he stated that his mother, Mrs. Phrona Houston, had passed away in her home in Los Angeles on the 12th day of March, 1943, in her sleep, having gone to bed at the usual time the previous night, apparently as well as usual. Mrs. Houston formerly was a Neillsville resident. She lived here with her mother, Mrs. Walker in a building, on Hewett Street, which stood where the Omaha Railroad tracks later were laid, her husband, a lumberman, being away from home a great deal. Mrs. Walker was a milliner.

Mrs. Houston is well known among the older residents as a lady of culture and refinement. She is survived by the son and two daughters, Gail, Mrs. Arnold Saverien, and Miss Marie Houston, both of Los Angeles.
