Larson, Betty Mae (Marriage - 29 May 1943)

Betty Mae Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Larson, Chippewa Falls, and Lt. Robert Irwin Jackson, son of Lt. Col. And Mrs. Leo M. Jackson, 2710 Chamberlain Ave., Madison, Wis., exchanged marriage vows at the Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls, at two o’clock p.m. Saturday afternoon, May 29. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Rev. A. D. Willette reading the service. Donald Kelly sang "I Love You Truly," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. O. B. Meslow.

The bride wore an aqua silk street-length dress with white accessories, carrying a colonial bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. Her jewelry, a strand of pearls, was a most precious gift from the groom.

Her bridesmaid, Barbara Dunn, of St. Paul, wore a yellow street length dress with a corsage of roses. Ray Vernes, a fraternity brother of the groom, White Lake, Wis., was groomsmen, and Morris Rowlands of Madison, ushered.

The bride’s mother wore blue with contrasting shade of blue, and blue and white accessories. Her corsage was made up of pink roses. Mrs. Jackson, mother of the groom, wore a coral mesh dress with navy accessories and a corsage of roses.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents was held immediately after the ceremony.

The bride has just completed her junior year at Ripon College, where she was a member of Kappa Sigma Chi sorority. She participated in many campus activities. She was honorary cadet captain at the military ball and social chairman of her sorority.

Lt. Jackson is the son of a veteran of World No. 1 and Lt. Col. Is the present great conflict and [portion missing here.]

The bridal couple left immediately after the reception for Camp Beal, Calif., where the groom is stationed.
