Donald J. Whaley

March 24, 1922 to August 19, 2006 SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. - Donald J. Whaley, formerly of Rapid City, SD, passed away on August 19, 2006, at TMC in Tucson.

He was born in Durand, Wisconsin, grew up in Neillsville, Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He also worked for the Boy Scouts of America as Scout Executive and retired after 17 years. He made his home in Sierra Vista after retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Whaley, sons, Jerry (Colleen), MN, Ron, MN, Ken (Deloris), SD, Bill (Leslie), WA, Tom, TN, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and 1 great-granddaughter.

Memorial services are on Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Sierra Vista Community United Church of Christ, 240 N. 90 Bypass, Sierra Vista and interment at 1:00 p.m. in the Old Veteran's Cemetery at Fort Huachuca.
