Victoria Bertha Edwina Thoma

NEILLSVILLE -- Victoria Bertha Edwina Thoma, 81, of Country View Apartments, Neillsville, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe. The Rev. Daniel Cole will officiate.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held in Globe Cemetery in the spring.

Victoria was born Nov. 27, 1924, in the Clark County town of Weston, the daughter of Herman and Hedwig "Hattie" (Klueckmann) Schoenherr. She married George Thoma on Jan. 1, 1944, in Globe. She was educated at Globe School. She was born, grew up, and spent nearly her whole life in the town of Weston, having lived at Country View Apartments, Neillsville, only the past year and a half. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, canning, baking and playing cards. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe, and a member of Globe Homemakers Club. She was employed at the White Horse Inn and held various cleaning jobs.

Victoria is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Dick) Kesler, Zimmerman, Minn., and Kay (Steve) Gress, Vesper; two sons, Tim (Lorie) Thoma, and Jeff (Sandy) Thoma, both of Neillsville; 10 grandchildren, Renee, Todd, Pam, Amy, Chris, Emily, Lindsey, Matthew, Samantha and Nick; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Schoenherr, Pewaukee; and loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Henrietta Mills and Vivian Thoma; and three brothers, Victor, Gerald "Jerry," and Herman Jr.
