Mayr, Isabelle (Marriage - 11 June 1942)

Miss Isabelle Mayr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Mayr of Dorchester, Wis., and Arthur Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Haas of Unity, were married at a ceremony performed last Thursday, June 11th, at 9:30 A.M. at St. Bernard’s Catholic church in Abbotsford, Wis., Rev. C. D. Brady reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride was attired in a white slipper satin dress in princess style with a lace shoulder yoke and long train. Her finger tip veil was trimmed with scalloped lace. Her only jewelry was a gold cross which her mother wore at her wedding. Her bouquet consisted of pink roses, carnations and mixed flowers.

Miss Angeline Mayr, of Chicago, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a yellow gown of embroidered chiffon with a shoulder length veil and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.

Miss Marie Mayr, sister of the bride, and Miss Rose Haas, sister of the groom, both of Chicago, carried identical bouquets and wore dresses similar to that of the maid of honor.

The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Sylvester Mayr, as best man, and by Elmer Haas, brother of the groom.

A wedding dinner and supper was served 95 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, and, in the evening, a dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion at Colby, Wis.

The young couple will reside on a farm near Stetsonville.
