Barton, Mr./Mrs. Devere (Marriage - 24 Sept. 1943)
Miss Lillian Boone and Devere Barton of Neillsville, Wis., were married September 24, 1902, at Portland, Org., at the home of Mrs. Nettie Robinson, Hartwig. Their attendances were Mrs. Hartwig and George Robinson, brother of Mrs. Hartwig. They lived in Portland for about six months, and then returned to Neillsville, where Mr. Barton entered into business with his father, the late Anton Barton, doing blacksmith work. They continued their residence there about eight years, when they moved to Colorado. They came to California in 1931, where they have since resided, Mr. Barton being employed at Paramount and Universal Studios. Guests at the 40th anniversary celebration in North Hollywood were: Mr. and Mrs. Del Combs and son, Gary; of Culver City; Daniel B. Barton, a son, Long Beach; Roland Meade, an old friend and Spanish American war veteran bubby; Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Neff, Pasadena; Mr. and Mrs. George Wilding, Hawthorne. A turkey dinner was served.
The Bartons were the recipients of useful gifts. Mrs. George Wilding.
