Simonsmeier, Irene (Marriage - 14 June 1941)

Peonies and iris were used as decorations in St. Peter’s Ev. and Reformed church in Town Rhine for the double ring ceremony in which Irene Simonsmeier and Reinold Werner of Plymouth were united in marriage by the Rev. F. J. Lowenbergh at 3:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Simonsmeier of Plymouth, Route 3, and the parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Werner of Dorchester, Wis., formerly of Colby, Wis.

An all white velveray gown with a sweetheart neckline and a long train were worn by the bride. Her fingertip length veil was held by a crown of orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, sweetpeas and snapdragons. She wore a locket which was a gift from her bridegroom.

Miss Lu Ella Feldman wore an aqua gown when she attended as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were the Misses Eva Taucher and Marguerite Klien, Both wore chiffon dresses, the former in pink and the latter in blue. All of the attendants had face veils, wore pearls, which were gifts from the bride and carried mixed bouquets.

Elmer Bolz was the best man and Raymond Feldman and Edgar Kaiser were the groomsmen.

There were 70 guests at the wedding dinner which was served at the Hotel Moraine at 6:30 P.M. The couple is residing with her parents for the present.
