Hebard, Marie (Marriage - 16 Nov. 1942)

Mrs. S. R. Tuttle, Modesto, Cal., sends the Press the following data covering the marriage of her nephew, Staff Sgt. Kenneth L. Frank, and Miss Florice Marie Hebard, which took place in the Methodist Church, Yreka, Calif., Nov. 16, 1942, at eleven a.m.

Mr. Frank is a grandson of Lenus and the late Mrs. Frank of the town of Weston.

The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. E. E. Beach, Mrs. John De Witt of Hilt, a close friend of the bride’s family, played the wedding march.

Miss Hazel Fiock and William M. French of Yreka attended the couple.

The bride was attired in a powder blue suit with navy blue accessories, wearing an orchid corsage. The bridesmaid was suited in beige with brown accessories. Her flowers were white gardenias.

A reception was held in the church parlor after which a wedding dinner was served for the bridal couple at Yreka Inn.

The bride was graduated from Yreka High School in 1940, later completing a secretarial course at Herald’s college in Sacramento. She was employed for a year in the capital city, at present being employed at the State Highway Patrol office in Yreka.

The groom, only on of Mr. and Mrs. Francis L. Frank of Burney, recently of San Jose, attended San Jose College, majoring in industrial arts. He is a member of Aplha-Phi Omega, national service fraternity. He is past national secretary of the Knights of Dunamis, national Eagle Scout honor society. Before enlisting, he was employed by the army air forces at McClellan field, under U. S. Civil Service Commission as instructor in a post school. He enlisted in the army air forces as glider pilot training. Having just completed his flying training he became a non-commissioned officer and was chosen as an instructor in the ground school department at the Army Air Force Glider Training School, Fort Summer, N. M.

The happy couple spent their honeymoon in Oregon. Sergt. Frank flying back to be on duty at his post Nov. 20th. Mrs. Frank will remain in Yreka for a time.
