Wachholz, Leonard Julius (July 5, 1889 - August 1, 1967)

RITES SET FOR L. J. WACHHOLZ

Neillsville--Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church for Leonard J. Wachholz, 78, of 515 E. Fifth St., who died at his home Tuesday evening. The Rev. N. W. Lindloff will officiate, and burial will take place in the Neillsville cemetery.

Friends may call at the Georgas Funeral Home on Fifth street until noon Friday and then at the church.

Leonard Julius Wachholz was born July 5, 1889, at Westfield, and was educated in that area. He was married at Westfield on April 17, 1915, to the former Julia Duesterhoeft and they farmed there, moving to the town of York in 1928. In 1945 they moved to Neillsville, Wis. Mr. Wachholz had been a city employee until 1963, when he retired because of ill health. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. William (Doris) Simek, Neillsville; Mrs. William (Violet) Neuhaus, and Miss Elaine Wachholz, St. Paul, Minn.; two sons, Hilton (Bud) Wachholz, Columbus, Ohio; and Glen, St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Duesterhoeft and Mrs. Eleanor Wachholz, Los Angeles, Calif., and six grandchildren.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
