Tyler, Thomas (24 June 1855 - 6 Nov. 1942)

Thomas Tyler was born in Maidstone, England, June 24th, 1855. He came to Waukesha, Wisconsin at the age of 18. He was married to Mary Ann Wildish at Menominee Falls, Sept. 29th, 1875. They settled in the township of Lynn where he was employed as an engineer in the Blackeslee mill.

To this union, five children were born, two of whom survive their parents, namely: Mrs. Charles Poole of Neillsville and George W. Tyler of Saginaw, Mich. Surviving also are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a retired civil service employee of the government, a member of the National Association of Power Engineers, Inc., and a member of the Mission Lodge No. 169 F & A.M. San Francisco, Cal. He had been a 32nd degree Mason since 1915.

Mr. Tyler died at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, Nov. 6th, after a prolonged illness. Services were conducted by the Rev. Obed Asp and Neillsville Lodge No. 163, F. & A. M. at the Masonic Temple. Interment was made at the Lynn Cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. George W. Tyler, Saginaw, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis of St. Paul.
