Wehrman, Augusta (29 Jan. 1864 - 6 Apr. 1940)

Mrs. Augusta Wehrman, age 76, died Saturday morning at 4:40 at the home of her son, Herbert, in the town of Frankfort, where she had been ill for several weeks. The body was taken to the Lulloff funeral home until Monday. Then taken to her home in the town of Holton where funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 o’clock at the house and at 2:00 o’clock at the Christ Lutheran church in Abbotsford, Wis. Rev. John Brandt officiated and burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery at Abbotsford, Wis. Pall bearers were Anton Kramer, Louis Bielke, Wm. Hintz, Gustave Hintz, Henry Parge and Henry Jacobi. Flower girls were Luella Hoernke, Laura Hoernke, Ruth Wibben, Ellen Jacobi and Anita Wehrman.

The deceased was born on January 29, 1864, at Chicago, Ill., thus reaching the age of 76 years, two months and eight days. She was married to Theodore Wehrman at Plymouth, Wisconsin, July 11, 1886, and, a few days later, on July 16m 1886, they came to the town of Holton where they engaged in the business of farming.

Surviving are seven children, namely - Lorenz Wehrman of Abbotsford, Wis., Mrs. Hilda Rahde of Wauwastosa, Mrs. Chas. Tews of Waukesha, Mrs. Tillie Falk of Waukesha, Louis Wehrman of Waterloo, Iowa, Herbert Wehrman of Colby, Amelia Wehrman of Chicago, Ill. Also two sisters and three brothers, Mrs, Wm. Grier of Colby, Mrs. Henry Scheelk of Fenwood, Herman Wiedeman of Colby, August Wiedeman of Abbotsford and Fred Wiedeman of Two Harbors, Minn. Also 14 grand children and one great grand child. Those preceding her in death are her husband, Theodore, and one son, Alfred.

The deceased was a woman of fine moral character, a good wife and mother and a good church member. She was well liked by all who knew her.

Out of town people here for the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Tews and son, Lester, and daughter, Lorraine, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Falk, Mrs. Eugene Flynn, all of Waukesha, Mrs. Amelia Wehrman of Chicago, Louis Wehrman of Waterloo, Iowa, Herbert Wehrman and children of Colby, Mrs. Louis Raeder and son, Arno, and Mrs. Henry Roehl of Kiel, Ray Krueger of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Leffel, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hamann, Mr. and Mrs. John Kobs and daughter, Helen, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Scheelk of Fenwood, Mr. and Mrs. William Grier and Herman Wiedeman of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weller and daughter, of Colby, Fred Wiedeman of Two Harbors, Minn., Mrs. Helda Rahde and daughter, Harriet, of Wauwatosa, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Bohman and Anton Mateofsky of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scheel of Colby, Miss Anna Wiedeman of Eau Claire, Mr. Gust Wucherpfennig.
