Fehlman, Henry N. (17 Mar. 1860 - 2 Jan. 1940)

Henry N. Fehlman passed away at his home in Colby Tuesday morning at 9:00 A.M. at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 15 days after one week’s illness. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, Jan. 5th, at 2:00 P.M. at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby under the auspices of the Colby Lodge F. & A.M. of which the deceased was a member.

The deceased was born in Warren, Pa., March 17, 1860, and lived in S. Dakota several years before coming to Colby in 1915 and engaged in farming. He never was married and is survived by three brothers, George Fehlman of Colby, A. J. Fehlman of Rockham, S. Dak., and J. P. Fehlman of Frankfort, S. Dak.

The deceased was of a quiet disposition who did not mingle a great deal with the general public but was a just and upright citizen, a sincere friend and obliging neighbor and always endeavored to perform every duty to God, his country, his family, his neighbor and himself.

Masonic funeral services were held for Henry Fehlman, who died of diabetes and old age complications Tuesday, January 2nd, at the Lulloff Funeral Home Friday afternoon, O. R. Briggs officiating, and Rev. H. Lee acting as chaplin. Internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were C. R. Whitney, C. A. Nelsen, O. W. Sturner, John Pribnow, Jr., Oscar Carlson and R. H. Markus. Out of town people here for the funeral were Mrs. J. P. Fehlman of Frankfort, S.D., and two sons and daughter - Vincent of Frankfort, S.D., Jerome of Redfield, S.D., and Mrs. Barkly of Watertown, S.D.
