Brunner, Michael G. (24 OCT 1874 - FEB 1939)

Stratford - Michael G. Brunner, 64, died at 4:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon at his home in Stratford after being ill since Sept. 1. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o’clock Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford, in which he was a member. The Rev. J.L. Schumacher will officiate at the services, and will be assisted by the Rev. Adelbert Brunner of Milwaukee, cousin of the deceased. Burial will be made in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery.

Mr. Brunner was born in Germany Oct. 24, 1874, and was married Nov. 14, 1900 to Miss Theresa Wenzel. He came to Stratford 37 years ago from Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., where he had been employed at the Conner Lumber Co.

Surviving are his wife and six children, Mrs. G.W. (Dorothy) Lambert, Ripon; Mrs. W.L. (Margaret) Hughes, Milladore; Mrs. E.B. (Eleanore) Kairies, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Bertram, Agnes and Edward Brunner, at home. A daughter, Marie, preceded him in death in 1920.

Two brothers, Andrew Brunner, Thorp, and George Brunner, Detroit, Mich., and five grandchildren also survive.
