Zinthefer, Olive M. (19 May 1910 - 21 Feb. 2007)

Olive M. Zinthefer, 96, formerly of MacArthur Ave., died Wednesday morning, February 21, 2007 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.

Olive was born May 19, 1910 in Colby, Wisconsin to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Meisen) Kanter. On April 26, 1943 Olive was united in marriage to Joe Zinthefer in Abilene, Texas. Following Joe's service career, the family settled in Marshfield, Wisconsin until moving to Sheboygan in 1953. Joe and Olive resided on MacArthur Ave. for many years and most recently resided together at Sunny Ridge.

Olive was a tailor with Art Imig, Richmond Brothers and Kress Hertel. Olive was a member of Holy Name Parish and the St. Anne’s Women's Society. Olive enjoyed gardening and needlework, proudly presenting afghans to family members.

In addition to her husband, Joe, Olive is survived by two children, Linda Warmbier of Woodstock, Illinois and Kevin and Gloria Zinthefer of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Jason Warmbier, Matthew (Katie) Warmbier, Zachariah Zinthefer, Vanessa Zinthefer, and Katrina (fiance Barry Buechner) Zinthefer; two great-grandchildren, Jared Warmbier and Caleb Warmbier, a sister, Rosalia Baumgart of Abbottsford, Wisconsin; and other family members.

Olive was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at Holy Name Catholic Church by Rev. James E. Connell, the Pastor. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. A time of visitation and support will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Olive will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, a shoulder to lean on, and a strong heart which she shared with the one's she loved.
