Hi Steve, I purchased a book that Jim Jantsch had written about Dorchester from 1873 to 2005. I had a delightful conversation with him. He still has a few books left but also CD's with 400 pictures of the Dorchester through the years. The book has 536 pages with a wealth of information. My uncle Ray Hazeldick often talks about an August Schmidt. He spent time with Ray's family. Happy Hunting.
