Halberg, Arlisle "Arlie" (Spencer): Funeral services for Arlisle "Arlie" (Spencer) Halberg, 76, former Columbia Falls resident of Kalispell will be held in United Methodist Church of Columbia Falls. She died Friday in Seattle WA (Sept 1993).

She was born Nov 8, 1916 in Colby Wisconsin to Edward and Clara Henkel. At age two, she moved with her family to Loyal, Wisconsin where she received her education. The family moved to Kalispell and later returned to Wisconsin. She married Alvin Spencer in 1936 in Madison Wisconsin. He preceded her in death. The family returned to Kalispell in 1941.

She married Wilbur Halberg in 1966 in Kalispell. The couple lived south of Columbia Falls, in the Bad Rock area, for 23 years. Due to ill health, he moved to the Immanuel Lutheran Home and she moved outside of Kalispell to be near her daughter. He died in August 1993.

Survivors include two daughters: Carol Shrade and Eleanor Yaranon; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother Fred Henkel and numerous other relatives. Burial in Conrad Memorial Cemetery follows service.
