Aldinger, Rueben (18 AUG 1922 - 22 FEB 1939)

Rueben Aldinger, 16-year-old Curtiss youth died Wednesday evening at 7:30 o’clock at his home. Death was caused by complications resulting from a heart ailment.

Rueben was born on Aug. 18, 1922. His parents preceded him in death, his father having been killed in an airplane accident June 30, 1926, and his mother died the following year in July. He was a student in the tenth grade of the public school. Rueben is survived by an aged grandfather, with whom he had made his home, and a sister, Marie.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rev. M.C. Goetsch officiating. Burial was made at Pine Hill Cemetery.

The pallbearers were schoolmates, namely, Harley Hoff, Fritz Laabs, Andor Kraut, Arnold Thieme, Neland Kobs and Grant Herrick Jr.

Singing under the direction of Miss Theresa Marking was by members of the Glee club of the school: Grace Pudlas, Dolores Foltz, Carol Johnson and Jean Hennlich. These girls and Helen Koerner had charge of the floral offerings.

Relatives from away attending the funeral were Mrs. Lena Kisten of Kenosha, Mr. and Mrs. William Aldinger of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. W. Pueschner of Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. A. Edwards and family of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. R. Haderlein of Milan.
