Aldinger, Rueben (18 Aug. 1922 - 22 Feb. 1939)

Rueben Aldinger, sixteen year old Curtiss youth, died Wednesday evening, February 22, at 7:30 o’clock at his home at Curtiss, complications resulting from a heart ailment being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Curtiss, Rev. M. C. Goetsch officiating and internment was made in the Pine Hill cemetery where the body was laid to rest beside his father and mother. Dolores Foltz, Helen Hennlich, Coral Johnson, and Theresa Maerking sang "Beautiful Savior" at the home, and, at the church, they sang "No Night There" and "I Need Thee Every Hour." The pall bearers were Fritz Laabs, Grant Herrich, Arnold Thiemme, Audore Kraut, Harley Hoff and Neiland Kobs. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in Curtiss, Wis.

Rueben, who lived in Curtiss all his life, was born August 18, 1922, and was a student in the tenth grade of the public school. He is survived by his sister, Marie, and an aged grand father, Richard Schoeneman, with whom he had made his home. His parents preceded him in death, his father having been killed in an airplane accident June 30, 1929, and his mother died on July 15 the following year.
