Scidmore, Theresa Blanche (3 Dec. 1920 - 23 Sept. 2007)

CURTISS -- Theresa Blanche Scidmore, 86, Curtiss, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at her home with her family and Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, Wis. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss, Wis. The Rev. Donald Berg will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Theresa was born Dec. 3, 1920, in Brillion to George and Rose (Neihaus) Fritsch. She attended St. Louis Catholic School and Dorchester High School. Theresa and Clayton Rahn were married Dec. 2, 1939. He died June 19, 1946. She then married Robert Scidmore June 2, 1950. He died July 9, 1982. She grew up in Dorchester and then moved to Milwaukee. She returned to rural Curtiss in 1966 where she and her husband owned and operated Scidmore's Steak House. She retired in 1983. Theresa was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Owen, PCCW, and St. Rose Circle, and was also a member of the Curtiss Community Club.

Theresa is survived by her children, Barbara (Gerald) Wachsmuth of Owen, Sandra (Nicholas) Wirtala of Curtiss, and Joseph (Jody) Scidmore of Spencer; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; and her brothers and sisters, Leo, Art, Ervin, Pete, Sally, Rose, Margaret, George, Helen, Evelyn and Dorothy.
