Gottschalk, Alvina (22 JUN 1938)

Mr. and Mrs. William Gottschalk, town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), announce the marriage of their daughter, Alvina, to Orvil Baumgart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Baumgart, Town of Hull (Marathon Co.).

The ceremony was performed in the parsonage of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Town of Green Grove, at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 1938, by the Rev. M.C. Goetsch.

The bride was attired in white satin, trimmed with lace, and a lace jacket. The gown was designed with long sleeves coming to a point over the hands. She wore a fingertip veil and a wrist bouquet of mixed flowers.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kilty attended the couple. Mrs. Kilty wore a frock of pink net over satin and her bouquet was similar to the bride’s.

The home of the bride’s parents was decorated with streamers of pink and white and a profusion of garden flowers and a wedding cake centered the table where dinner was served. Covers were laid for 35 guests. A wedding dance was held in the evening at Oakwood pavilion.

The young couple will reside near Colby. Mr. Baumgart is a truck driver.
