Schoenherr, Vivian (Marriage - 20 June 1942)

The marriage of Miss Vivian Schoenherr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schoenherr of the town of Weston, and Harold Thoma, son of Arthur Thoma, town of Weston, was solemnized at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Globe at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. The Rev. Adolph Schumann performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with potted plants and basket of garden flowers. The service was witnessed by over a hundred guests.

The bride wore a gown of light marquisette trimmed with lace, her long veil falling from a tiara of seed pearls. Her bouquet of white roses, with showers, was made up by a friend, Mrs. Frederick Grap.

The bridesmaids were: Misses Victoria Schoenherr, sister of the bride, and Miss Anita Kurth, a friend, of Hales Corners. The former wore pink marquisette, the latter wearing a blue dress of similar material. Their bouquets combined pink and white roses. Herman Schoenherr and Asa Thoma, brothers of the bride and groom, respectively, were the gentlemen attendants.

Mrs. Clarence Reindel and daughter, Cleo Jane, sang "Lord Who are Cana’s Wedding Feast," accompanied at the organ by Miss Deloris Schumann, who also played the wedding march.

A hundred guests assembled at the home of the bride’s parents for a reception and supper. The Schoenherr home was decorated in pink, blue and white streamers and garden flowers.

Friends and neighbors of the couple gave them a shower that evening.

The young couple began housekeeping at once on a farm which the groom has conducted for the past seven years.

Out of town relatives who came for the wedding included: Mrs. August Bertram, Mrs. Fred Schoenherr, Gust Schoenherr, Custer, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. John Marquardt, Mrs. Esther Hayes, Rochester, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. William Mitte, daughters, Eileen and Bernice, Dubuque, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mitte and daughters, Endree Phyllis and Naudaine, Mr. and Mrs. E.
