Tessmer, June (Marriage - 30 Dec. 1936)

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer Wednesday afternoon at 6:30 P.M. when their youngest daughter, Miss June, became the bride of Ernest Passehl Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Passehl Sr., of Stratford, Justice of the Peace Chas. V. Hinke of Abbotsford reading the ceremony. Miss Myrtle Leffle of Stratford acted as maid of honor and the groom was attended by Mr. B. Leffel, brother of the maid of honor.

The bride was attired in a beautiful Burgundy knit dress with shoulder bouquet and accessories to match. The maid of honor wore a green tunic dress with shoulder bouquet and accessories to match.

A 7:00 o’clock dinner was served for the bridal couple and immediate relatives, the home being nicely decorated with pink and white crepe paper for the occasion.

The newlyweds will be at home immediately at the home of the groom’s parents at Stratford.

Out of town people here for the occasion were Mrs. Helen Bird and children of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Passehl and daughter of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weyneth and children of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. V. Hinke of Abbotsford, Wis.

A free wedding dance was held Wednesday evening at the Trianon gardens.

A wedding shower was held at the Cherokee Hall in honor of the bride Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1936. She received many useful gifts.
